Timeline is entered in the UK’s Data Protection Register under ZA447269. It is obliged to treat any client’s data gathered in the course of providing services to you, in accordance with the UK Data Protec- tion Act 1983.

Timeline shall keep secure and in strict confidence all material that is received from Timeline users. It shall only use such confidential information when it’s necessary, to fulfil its obligations to the user.

Data on Timeline is encrypted and stored on Amazon Cloud European data centers, which complies with Data Protection rules in the UK and Europe. The infrastructure is hosted and managed within Amazon’s secure data centres and utilises the Amazon Web Service (AWS) technology. Amazon continually manages risk and undergoes recurring assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Amazon’s data centre operations have been accredited under:

  • ISO 27001
  • SOC 1 and SOC 2/SSAE 16/ISAE 3402 (Previously SAS 70 Type II)
  • PCI Level 1
  • FISMA Moderate
  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

How we use your information

We would contact you by e-mail primarily, on social media if you follow any account under ‘Timelineapp Tech Limited’ control and on very rare occasions by telephone. With our email marketing, you can change your marketing preferences at any time by updating your email preferences. This can be found in the footer of every email we will send you.

Client data

Users of the Timeline software can input information about their clients on Timeline. It is highly unlikely that the individual can be identified using the information on Timeline since only the name (which could be anonymised) and age (not the date of birth) is required. As you have agreed and are contracted to our services, we may use this information to maintain the legal relationship in place between us and to provide you with our services.

How long we keep your data

We only keep your information for as long as is necessary to comply with our contractual and legal obligations. This will depend on your relationship with us and your particular circumstances. There are many reasons why we must hold your data for certain periods of time. For example, data that is relevant to legal proceedings (relating to pensions & potential income data).
